Dan Frechtling, ShopperMedia author, has spent a career developing and marketing products for B2B and B2C, for multi-billion dollar public companies and pre-revenue venture-backed startups.

Dan currently is vice president of global product management for hibu, PLC, which develops, markets and delivers marketing services for local businesses in the US, UK, Spain, and Latin America. Previously, Dan was vice president of marketing and vice president of client solutions for DS-IQ, where he led go-to-market strategy for digital media technologies at Walmart and SUPERVALU.

As Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Mattel, he acquired existing businesses and introduced Scene It?, which became the largest interactive trivia game. At Stamps.com he helped launch the first server-based web postage technology. At McKinsey & Company he led engagements for consumer and technology clients.

Dan lives with his wife and three children in Seattle. Dan earned his MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and his BS in Journalism/Economics from Northwestern University. He speaks Mandarin Chinese.
